One of my favorite memories from when I was sick was the time that I broke my arm. Even though it was not a good time it is still a good memory of mine. I was in first grade and I was hanging from a bar on the playground. My pants were slippery but I hung up side down anyways. My pants slipped and fell back on my butt. I was about fall over so I put my hands back behind me. That was not a big decision because my wrists bent back way to far than they're supposed to. Right after that the whistle blew signalizing and that it was time to come in. My teacher took me to the Gym teacher and she said that it was probably broken so we called my mom and she took me to the the doctor, they said it was broken.

Nine Year Old Memory (A Finals) AHW
'Beep' The buzzer sounded and I was off, swimming to my hearts content! It was the 25 meter backstroke and I would be swimming butterfly later on during the meet. I had always dreamed of making it to this point and here I was, swimming at Beachwood. Kicking. Swimming. I felt like I was in a dream. Weightless. I glided across the water until I saw the flags. One I counted, two, three, four, five, six, seven. At the last stroke I reached for the wall since it was not there I kept kicking until I touched it. I hopped out of the water and looked up at the score board.
I don't know what my time was but whatever it was I am happy because I climed my own Everest and kept believing in myself and I had fun. That is what games are all about!:)

10 Years Old Memory ( The Time I Went on the Raptor for the First Time.)
I have gone to Ceder Point for like five years in a row! The year when I was ten was special though. It was the first year I was tall enough to go on all the rides in the park! I don't mean to brag but I have now been on all the rollercoasters in the park! One of my favorite rides was the Raptor!
'Whoosh' the huge rollercoaster swept past me and went through a turn directly in front of the entrance. "eek" My little sister Lauren squeled "im so excited!" As we walked through the enterance she got stopped though. And measured. It will be okay I thought to myself she got to go on the Mantis they have to let her on here. But I was wrong. They sent her out. I felt so bad because this year was the year that she had been waiting for and this has always been the ride that she has wanted to go on.
The line was LONG! So long that people would never want to go on it again just because they did not want to wait in the line! I waited, and waited, and WAITED! It took so long that I thought I would die of thirst.
Once we got to the front I started to have to go to the bathroom but I was determined to go on it. This was the one rollercoaster in the whole park that I had not been on (Except for the Pipe Scream which we tried to go on but someone barfed so they closed it).
Finally we reached the top of the spiral staircase and were in line. I knew from the second I got up there that I was not going in the front. We picked a seat near the middle and buckled in.
When we were done I was so excited because not only had I have been on all the rollercoasters (except the Pipe Scream) but I had climed my own Everest and did what I had been afraid to do.
Christmas Countdown
Okay, so I am going to start this thing and each day (depending on how many days are left till christmas) I will tell a story about when I was that age. For example, if there was five days till christmas then I would tell a small moment about when I was five. I am starting today because I am ten so it would be hard to tell a story about me as an 11 year old or 12 year old if I was not ever that age.
I am starting on my next post (It will be today).

Violin Terror AHW
Yesterday I was playing my violin and then I accidentally hit the scroll on the door. When I went back to play it the A string was completely out of tune. It was almost as high as the E string. I started to tune in to it and then 'snap!' The string came right off! I got the replacement string and tuner out of my case and went to my mom. "Mom? My string came off."I said. And then guess what? We fixed it using this YouTube video. It worked because now my violin is as good as new!

Emergency Room AHW
Today I was absent because my Mom thought that I had appendicitis. Last night right before dinner side of my body started to hurt really bad, later that night my sister Lauren kept making me laugh and that made it even worse. In the morning my Mom asked me a ton of questions like "Does it hurt to cough?" and "Can you breathe okay?" I told her the truth and since she had had appendicitis when she was younger and not treated it in time hers exploded and had to get surgery, which she did not want to happen to me. So she took me to the emergency room. When I got there I was terrified because today was the first time I had ever been to the hospital for an emergency before. They put me into an all white hospital bed with a border of blue and medal bars on the side. After a few blood tests, X-Rays and stuff like that they found out that I was just dehydrated and that there was no appendicitis! I was so happy. As we walked out of the room we has to check out. I kind of felt like I was restless and without even knowing it I started to pace back and forth. As we finished checking out everything started to go blurry and my ears well I couldn't hear very well and my legs hurt to walk. I felt like I was dying or fainting I have never done either of them so I was not sure. I told my mom and once I sat down it cleared up and I could see and hear again!

Bottle Gaga AHW
Today at choice hour it turns out that they had set up for the open house and didn't tell our teacher so we got to go outside. Everyone was board because there was no ball to play gaga ball then we found a propel on the ground and decided to play with that. It was hard at first but once you got used to it, it was fun except during the occasional head shot and when you got out. Overall I think I liked it as much as I like regular gaga! It was also being sustainable by recycling the bottle and using it as a ball and I actually ended up getting 3rd place in one game. When the fun was over I was sad but I was excited to go home from a great week!
The First Time I Met Mrs.Roberts
"Hello" Mrs. Roberts said. "Welcome to the Joberts team. Um...let me take attendance."
It was move up day and I was so exited to meet my new teacher, Mrs. Roberts. It had surprised me how strong her accent was since is was used to Mrs.Parkin's voice, she had an accent but it was not nearly as strong. I knew it was going to be a great year!
"Alexandria B?'
"Here"
"Colin B?"
"Here"
"Ellie D?"
"Here" I replied shyly
"Nolan G?"
"Here"
It went on like that for a while until the last name was called.
"Marijke?"
"Here"
Finally where done! I thought to myself. Mrs. Roberts started talking about a bunch of different subjects I had never herd before. Then another class came in, "Another class?" I said to Mia who was right beside me. "That's Mr. Joe's class" she explained "You will be with them a lot"

Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls,The Moment You've All Been Waiting For... AHW
I sat at the table anxiously, waiting for the bell to ring. Please I thought Please! Every time Fletcher (My dog) made one move my heart leaped and I wen't to look out the window but not once was the man I was looking for was to be seen. I had been waiting seven days for this one ipad mini to come to me from Ontario CA. Every time my mom got I text I would craned my neck to look at the phone and see if the text was from UPS (United Postal Service). I waited and waited and waited! I even mistaken a school bus for the truck I was looking for, I had been waiting for what felt like years and still it had not come. I was looking for the right case with my mom and then I just gave up "lets not worry about a case Mom" I had said to her "Why is that" She replied "We don't even know if it'll come" I explained "Of course it'll come" she replied "how do you know?" "I looked at the UPS website" "Well last time you said that was two days ago and it said that it would come yesterday! I waited there and noticed all the strange sounds that go on outside.

What I Realized AHW
Today went to the BCS swim meat because my sister Hannah is on the swim team. In case your wondering, yes we did win (By like over 50 points). Any way, it was WAY different than a Woodside (my swim club) meet. And it totally surprised me how good I am at swimming compared to other people. Like at the end of last year I was so mad at myself for not dropping these two seconds to make it to A finals (The better finals that is hard to get into) and now that I look at other people I realize that I am actually a great swimmer! It surprised me how fast the BCS team was though! There where times that were so good! I think that the meet impacted my life because I learned not to go so hard on myself and to realize that there are so many people that don't belong to swim clubs and don't take swimming lessons when their young and I realized how lucky I am that I got to do that!
Good job Megan with you two record breakers, you were super fast! :)

Summer AHW
Summer is my favorite season. Besides that fact that my birthday is in summer, I like it because it is warm, fun to play outside in, swimming season and because there is no school.
As I just mentioned I like summer because it is warm. Did you know that the highest recorded temperature in Michigan was 112 degrees F in Mio Michigan on July 13, 1936?! That's during Summer. I love the heat but 122 degrees F is too HOT. I think that around 75 degrees F is the ideal temperature.
Anyway another reason I like summer is because it is swimming season. I swim on the Woodside Athletic Club (WAC) swim team. It is not a very popular club but our team is pretty big. Did you know that one of the most popular sports in the Olympics is swimming? Well it is and I know why, because its fun, competitive and gives you a lot of energy. In fact swimming is said to be the best workout for your body!
Summer is the best season in my opinion!
In the comment section below tell me your favorite season!

A Day in The Life of A Germ AHW
Hi I’m Influenza, and my life is not as easy as it seems.
First I have to pick one body out of millions of people and they are my victim.
Most of the time they don’t even know I’m there when the shake someone’s hand
and rub me off onto their friend. By now I know that there is a one in one
million chances that I will come across that same person again so I learned
that the to just
stick with the person you’re rubbed onto and not get too disappointed when you have been separated my your friends . My friends get left behind on other
bodies so I am most of the time with strangers. After I picked my person I
spread my bacteria all over them so that I can get them nice and sick. After
that we germs reproduce, and we invite more friends to come with us and get in
the nice and warm body. I would describe it like a sauna, it’s warm and feels
amazing. Once I have infected them and my friends are there we are close to
unstoppable by that human beings immune system. Until the medicine comes, this
is the worst part of being a germ! It flushes you down like waste in a toilet
and then you are dead. Unless you escape which very rarely happens so pretty
much if you are a germ you are almost for sure dead!

Florida AHW
A family
tradition of ours is to go to Florida. My Dads family went when they were kids
and the tradition has been passed down to us. We have been going to the same
condo every year it is called the El Matador in Fort Walton Beach Florida. We
go with our family along with family friends.
The only bad thing
about it is that since we've been going there for so long we know all the rules
about it so whenever we do something bad there is no excuse when the parents
ask you why you did it and what did you think we were doing, so I have
unfortunately had a lot of punishments throughout the years I've been going
there.
There is an ice cream truck that goes around too. Last year
we got the ice cream ladies phone number and called her when we wanted ice
cream, and she came. The first time we called my friend Marina talked. We
called in our other friends Maddie and Olivia’s condo so it would be quieter.
As Marina was talking to the women on the phone Maddie and Olivia’s Dad came in
and did not believe that we were actually talking to her until she came. You
would not believe the look on his face when he saw her coming five minutes
later.
There is a pool and a beach there too, they are also a lot of
fun. We like jumping waves and going night swimming when no one is there. The best part is that there we can go free
and the parents stay at the beach while the kids run around wherever. The only
rules are that we have to tell a parent where we are at all times and we have
to have a parent at the beach or pool.
Going to Florida is a great tradition of mine and I hope you
consider going too!

Near Disaster! AHW
"Fletcher?? Fletcher?!!" I cried "Fletch come back!!" I cried more and more. Ugh I thought why did we have to bring the dog? I had just ran the 5k Turkey Trot and now I was chasing the dog down the street and around houses and more houses. Tears were now streaming down my face and splashing behind me as I ran my heart out. Fletcher was running at what looked like 3,000,000,000 miles per hour and I knew there was no way that I could catch up to him but something was telling me to keep going because I did not want to go back and let him die. "Come'on" Hannah panted "Mom will get the car" "No" I cried " We need to keep going!" Even though I wanted to keep running my legs carried me back to the car. "I'll look on that side and you guys look on that side" My mom said I looked carefully on my assigned side "THERE HE IS!" Hannah yelled "Fletcher" My mom yelled as she rushed out of the car. "Fletcher" she called. Fletcher thankfully came running to her and jumped into her arms. in the car we rejoiced in the fact that he was safe and with us. My Thanksgiving was fine after that except when Fletcher peed on the dining room floor because we would not let him outside.
I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving and that your dog did not run away like mine did!

Thanksgiving
This year I am doing the Turkey Trot. I did it last year with my family, Cousin Mia and my friend Marina. I ran the 5k like I am doing this year. Unfortunately Marina is doing the 10k so I will not be running with her but Mia is doing it again and my Dad and sisters, Lauren and Hannah so I am still greatly looking forward to it. Last year we did not go to the parade afterwords but this year we are and I am so exited! Mia's Boyfriend might run with us too. After we finish the race we are going to go to my Aunt Linda's House. Both of my parents have a pretty big family. My Dad has 7 brothers and 2 sisters and my Mom has 5 brothers and 1 sister. We have dinner with My Mom's side. Even though no one there is near my age I am still looking forward to going to her house and having a great time!

Published Piece
'Err' the car screeched as it pulled up to the hospital and started to go up the huge ramp into the Beaumont Hospital parking structure in Royal Oak. My mom made me wear a dress. I hate dresses more than anything in the world but today I was okay with it and I did not make a fuss like I usually did because it was for my Babcia BOB-sha(Grandma).
We rushed into the hospital that had colorful tile and grayish walls. We walked into the elevator and pressed the cream button that had the number six on it, as I pressed it, it lit up and made me sad. It made me think about my Babcia and how we could no longer go to her house for Christmas Eve because of the eight years that my Babcia had survived through many different kinds of cancer.
As we got closer to her floor I felt like crying, but I did not want to embarrass myself in front of the Couple that had a baby in their arms and was wrapped in a pink blanket.
Finally we reached the sixth floor and the rusted metal doors of the elevator slowly opened, me, my Mom, Lauren and Hannah rushed out, I could tell they all felt the same way I did.
We swiftly walked down the long hallway, I could see my Uncle Chris standing at a wooden door with a long metal handle. He was smiling at least it looked like he was trying to, he had one of those smiles that adults use when they have bad news. I was worried that he had the worst news of all, which was that she had died.
When we got to the heavy looking door that had her name on it my Mom asked "how is she?"
"She’s doing fine she just has to drink lots of fluids" My Uncle Chris answered. I was relived, although my Uncle did not look too sure about what he said.
I had a flash back to the time at home just that day when my Mom had told us about her dehydration and more Cancer. I was so exited about going to Ceder Point the next day, and I felt a little selfish for being the slightest bit mad at my Dad for not going on the trip for the second day but I knew it was for Babcia so I was okay with it.
We walked inside and there laying on the almost all white hospital bed was my Babcia it hurt me to look at her because a small part of me felt like it was my fault she was in this condition even though the rest of me knew it was not. She did not look like herself at all, most of her hair had fallen out and a lot of clear tubes where suctioned on to her chest and she had a fluid injector beside her going onto her heart and arm. There was also a small black screen that had green zigzag lines on it moving up and down to monitor her heart beat beside her.
There was a long silence until my Dad said "don't worry she won't bite, she is still the same Babshie" that is what my dad called her. Babshie. I liked it, it sounded even more polish than Babcia. Hannah started to walk over to the bedside and then stopped and looked back at us motioning to follow her, so we did. It made me so sad to look at her laying on the bed helplessly. As I hugged her I felt better, I felt a sudden warmth inside of me like my shattered heart was being put back together and I kind of felt like celebrating even though I knew that it was no time for that.
Two days later she died, the day I came back from my trip. I was so sad but I realized, even though she did die, she would not be going through the pain and cancer anymore and I knew that it was best for her to die. Or she would just sit there and suffer through what she didn't deserve.

Diabetes
November is the diabetes awareness month.Type one is definitely the worst kind. Every two hours or so they have to test their blood sugar. Its basically a finger prick and then a shot of insulin. I would HATE to have to do that! I hate shots even 1-2 times a year but one every two hours would be terrible!
Diabetes is a terrible thing to have and it infects kids and adults around the country. Many people are trying to find a cure. To help we can raise awareness, at my school, this Friday (tomorrow) they are asking that everyone wears blue. There are many other ways to raise awareness. Take Action!

Sisters (AHW)
Sisters
I am the middle child. Most people would say "ooh that's the best one" or "your the middle of the Oreo or Skittle". But in my opinion it is the worst position to be in. You have one super annoying younger sister and one supper bossy and mean older sister.Older Sisters
Older sisters are so lucky! They get to get their ears pierced first. They get to sit in the front seat of the car first. They have so much good responsibility. When they are around 12 they get to babysit you. trust me this will seem bad, but it will get way worse! Then they will not talk to you and whenever you ask them a question they will just make a grunting noise and then mumble "Figure it out yourself"
Younger Sisters
Younger sisters always want to get attention. Parents will think their so cute. If you know their trying to annoy you it always works, I don't know why but the can always make your happiest days the worst days of your life

The Big Science Test (AHW)
My hand sweated and shook as I gripped my pencil tightly. The sub, Mrs Lucas passed out the test titled Hydrosphere Test. The first question was Which of the Following statements about water is true?
A. Most of the water on earth is fresh water.
B. Less than 1% of the water on earth is available for human use.
C. The amount of water on Earth is equal to the amount of salt water.
D. There is an unlimited supply of clean, fresh water on Earth.
First I looked at the first one, A. Most of the water on earth is fresh water. Right off the bat I knew that that was wrong so I crossed it out. A.Most of the water on earth is fresh water. Then without even finishing reading B. Less than 1% of the water on earth is available for human use. I knew that that was the one. I circled the letter B. and went on to the next one. I went on like this for a while answering the questions and that circling the correct answer. There were several different kinds of questions. I blew through them pretty fast until i got to one question. The last one. In my opinion the last one's are always the hardest. They are always the ones that require a lot of explanation and knowledge all mushed together like a PB&J sandwich. I personally always lose at least one point on those ones.
The next day of school Mrs. Roberts was passing out the tests results. She called out a lot of names until she got to mine "Ellie" she said. I walked up to her trying not to show my nervousness. She handed me the paper. I looked at the first page. Then the second. Then the third. Then I flipped to The last page. There were two questions, one about groundwater that was correct. The other was the last one. The only one I had trouble with. Question 21. Worth five points. I looked at the score. 4/5. To tell you the truth I was not that upset because almost every one I talked to got the same 4/5 score on their tests. I carried my test with delight and was happy for the rest of the day about it!

A Trampoline?!!! (AHW)
One Christmas Day I came out of my room early hoping to get a good peek at my presents. As I snuck out of my room I was as quiet as a mouse, but my parents still caught me! I don't know how but they always know when i'm going to come out of my room. "Hey, Ellie!" someone loudly whispered. "Who's there?" I said as I looked around carefully. My Dad stuck his head out of the door and said "go back to bed". I obeyed his instructions careful not to wake Lauren up. Apparently i'm not as sneaky as I thought because even though I tried my hardest I still woke her up. Whenever this happens I always duck down so that she does not know i'm awake. If she thinks i'm asleep than she will go back to sleep. This strategy usually works so I tried it. As she emerged from the covers she looked like a ghosts shadow. She looked around. Stopped. Then put her head right back down on her pillow. 'Yes!' I thought as I hurried into my bed. I was so tired so I drifted off to sleep in about two minutes. "Ellie?. Ellie? Ellie?" Someone was shaking me "what?" I moaned "wake up, wake up" it was Lauren she was on-top of me now and was yelling at the top of her lungs. I sat up in my bed and looked at the cloak the red numbers with no curves read 7:27. "come on" Lauren urged "Its Christmas. Let's go open our presents!" We rushed into our parents room and woke them up. It always takes a long time to get them out there. First they take like five minutes just to sit up. Then they have to go to the bathroom, And then they take like a gazillion picture of us. After about twenty minutes Hannah and my parents where up and out of bed! When we got out there I rushed to look in my stocking."WOW!" I was amazed at the amount of candy that was in there. There were Snickers and Zots and gum and pretty much any kind of candy you can imagine. Next where the presents from my family. After I opened those I looked for a present from Santa but there was none! We searched and searched. Suddenly Fletcher started barking at the window, I looked out to see what it was and out there was a trampoline! "It..it.....its...a .tr...tra.....tram......It's A trampoline!" I screamed.

'Err' the car screeched as it pulled up to the hospital and
started to go up the huge ramp into the Beaumont Hospital parking structure in

hate dresses more than anything in the world but today I was okay with it because
it was for my Babcia BOB-sha(Grandma).
We rushed into the hospital that had colorful tile and grayish walls. We walked into the elevator and
pressed the cream button that had the number six on it, as I pressed it,
it lit up and made me
sad. It made me
think about my Babcia and how we could no longer go to her house for Christmas
Eve because of the eight years that my Babcia had survived through many
different kinds of cancer.
As we got closer to her floor I felt like crying, but I did not want to embarrass
myself in front of the
Couple that had a baby in their arms and wrapped in a pink blanket.
Finally we reached the sixth
floor and the rusted
metal doors of the elevator slowly opened, me, my Mom, Lauren and Hannah rushed out, I could tell they all felt the
same way I did.
We swiftly walked down the long hallway, I could see my Uncle Chris standing at a
wooden door with a long metal handle. He was smiling at least it looked like he was trying to,
he had one of those smiles that adults use when they have bad news. I
was worried that he had the worst news of all. She had died.
When we got to the
heavy looking door that had her name on it my Mom asked "how is she?" "She’s doing fine she
just has to drink lots of fluids" My Uncle Chris answered. I was
relived, although my Uncle did not look to sure about what he said.
I had a flash back to the time at home just
that day when my Mom had told us about her dehydration and more Cancer. I was
so exited about going to Ceder Point the next day, and I felt a little selfish
for being the slightest bit mad at my Dad for not going on the trip for the
second day but I knew it was for Babcia so I was okay with it.
We walked inside and
there laying on the almost all white hospital bed was my Babcia it hurt me to
look at her because a small part of me
felt like it was my fault even though the rest of me knew it was not. There she
was she did not look like herself at all, most of her hair had fallen out and a
lot of clear tubes where suctioned on to her and she had a fluid injector
beside her going onto her chest. There was also a small black screen that had
green zigzag lines on it moving up and down to monitor her heart beat.
There was a long
silence until my Dad said "
don't worry she won't bite, she is still the same Babshie" that is
what my dad called her. Babshie. I liked it, it sounded even more polish than
Babcia. Hannah started to walk
over to the bedside and then stopped and looked back at us motioning to
follow her, so we did. It made me so sad to look at her laying on the bed
helplessly. As I hugged her I felt better, I felt a sudden warmth inside of me
like my heart was being put back together and I kind of felt like celebrating
even though I knew that it was no time for that.
As I left the stuffy room that smelled like medicine and Hand Sanitizer I got more
worried than I ever had before but I knew, even if she did die, she would not
be going through pain anymore and I knew that it was best for her to die. Or
she would just sit there and suffer through what she didn't deserve.

What If It Didn't Get Dark Tonight? (AHW)
Iv'e always wondered what would happen if it did not get dark tonight. My guess is that kids would be running through the streets not knowing what time it was. Deer would be out so the air would be full of load barks. Parents would be confused and go to bed thinking that it was some kind of optical illusion and they where just seeing things. Elders would still be knitting on their front porch and watching the children run and scream. Teenagers would probably not even bother to think about it because they would be texting their friends, sleeping or studying/doing homework, but they might stop for a while to yell at the kids outside for screaming and yelling so load. I know for a fact though that it would be a very great day!

Field Hockey Review (AWH)
I play on the Oakland Field Hockey team, we practice at Bloomfield Hills Middle School and play against other privet schools in the area like Sacred Heart, Country Day, Green Hills ex.
I like floor and ice hockey but i'm not a very good skater and I hate pucks and the sticks used in floor hockey. My friend Ania introduced me to field hoke when I was in 3rd grade. She took me to a take your friend to field hockey thing. Her old coach is the same coach that I have now. Coach Derek. Ania no longer plays field hockey. I love field hockey so much and it gives you a lot of exercise. It is way safer and easier that floor and ice hockey. That is my opinion about field hockey. And just in case your wondering I play for a program called Coach Genevieve . I love field hockey and I think you will to!

Halloween Night (AHW)
On the night of Halloween it was the first time my parents let us go out alone (with no parents).
We went with the Nelsons (Ainsley (10), Abby (12) and Aiden (12)), With my friends Lily (10) and Marijke (10) and with a girl name Kirsten (12). As we rushed through the streets it got COLD! And I mean freezing, it was so cold that I practically froze into the lace dress I was wearing. We where having a fun time because what we did not know was that lurking in the shadows where two teenagers dressed in black. As we were running to the next house Kirsten motioned silently to stop, as we did so out of the corner of my eye I saw movement behind a car "shh" said Kirsten "Those two kids right there will literately kick your butts off " well she did not exactly say 'butts' but the word she said shall not be mentioned. Everyone looked for them and apparently the were following us the whole time because I had seen them but thought that they where cats. I was kind of creeped out just like everyone else, we huddled together and decided to run to the one house where we could stay with parents around without acting suspicious and that was the hot chocolate house .In George Town (the neighborhood that we go in) there is one house that opens up their garage and gives out hot cocoa and full size candy bars. It is my favorite house. As we ran there the strange black figures started to run too, now I for sure knew that they where following us. The where tall and thin. "hey" whispered Lily "Those same guys poped my headless horseman balloon last year. As we approached the house we were relived finally we could get home safe. We took a long stop there are got warm until we decided to run to Lily's House and ask her Mom to drive us back to the Nelsons. So we ran and ran, suddenly this white car started to follow us but we realized that is was just trick-or-treaters but it made us run even faster until finally we got to Lily's house and her mom drove us home. As usual we traded and counted candy. I LOVE Snickers They are my Favorite candy of all time so of course I traded for Snickers. By the time I stopped I was very proud of myself I had 93 Snickers, 5 Kit-Kats and 1 Twix. Even though it was a crazy day it was still the best Halloween ever!

Cranbook Game AHW
Today I had a field hokey game .vs. Cranbrook, even though we lost 0-1 it was still fun and our team made a few great plays! It was our second to last game and probably my second favorite game. Earlier that day I hurt my knee in many different ways, first I slipped and fell on it, next my Mom accidentally opened the car door on it and then on the way in I banged my stick agent my knee, It's funny that it happened in the exact same spot each time but anyway this one girl that was the number 3 kept hitting my leg with her stick. I'm not sure if she did it purposely but it sure felt like it. And this other girl who was number 13 kept stepping on my foot which I think was very rude! Even though my knee was purple and my foot was sore by the end of the game it was still fun when we made a pyramid and I got to go on the top!

Ouch! (AHW)
As I ran through the hallway my hair blew behind me like a cape. When I got to the BCS office I saw my Mom standing there waiting for me,she was wearing a black North Face parka, jeans and her hair was pulled back by her upright sunglasses. "Hi Honey" she said "whats up with your ear?" "I don't know" I replied as I got into the car "it just hurts really hurts!" The whole drive after that was silent until we pulled into the urgent care parking lot she said" Does it feel clogged?" she asked as we walked into the building "yes, a lot" I whined. On the door there was a sign that caught my eye it said: If you have come in contact with anyone that has/had or could have had Ebola get a test immediately. It kind of scared me to think that people who could have Ebola have been there but I forgot about it as soon as I walked n the door. The person at the front desk said "have you ever been here before?" "yes" said my Mom "Last name Deighan First Name Ellie or Elizabeth" "okay" she said "follow me", she led us into a bright room and told us that the doctor would be there soon.First the Nurse came in and he took my temperature, found out my blood pressure and all of that stuff. Finally the Doctor came in and she asked a ton of questions like "when did it start hurting" and "which ear is it" finally she looked in, " I can not see anything, there is too much wax. We will have to do a cleaning process and it make take a while. Do you have time?" she said "um, I think so" my Mom said. she put these ear drops in my ear and I waited about 10 minuets until the nurse came in and started putting water in my ear with a syringe "ouch!" I screamed. He did this several times and then drained the water and about a tablespoon of wax into a white bowl and then poured it down the sink. When the Doctor Looked into my ear she said I had an inner ear infection or a sensitivity to the cleaning and the wax was what was making it hurt. "come back in a few days if it still hurts" she said. But the best part was that I got two lollipops!

The Garden Mystery (AHW)
Chapter One
The Garden
"Carly where are you?" my older brother Nick called "over here" I yelled from the garden. I was the one kid, the only kid that ever went to the garden, people always said it was haunted and that on the 5th of May a baby red bird ghost would emerge from the garden.A lot of people are scared of me now, just because my birthday is May 5th. I have hardly any friends, well not hardly any friends more like no friends well except for the animals that live on papa's farm and of course my older brother Nick.
I watched Nick run to me, his bright red hair was shining in the beautiful summer sunlight and his bright blue eyes blended in with the sky. As he approached me I knew that something had gone terribly wrong "Hi Nick" I said in a cheerful voice trying to make him not tell me the bad news that I knew was inside of him "Hello" he replied in an
ac ward tone. Now I knew he had bad news, I knew that he always used that tone of voice when he had bad news. "well..um...so" he hesitated "I have bad news" he mumbled "what is it" I asked in a demanding sort of voice "well..." he mumbled so quiet I could not hear. "what?" I asked
Chapter Two
The Terrible, Terrible, Terrible News
"Just come with me" he said finally speaking up a little "okay" I replied. I really did not want to go but the next thing I knew I was running alongside Nick and we where racing to the barn "Faster" he yelled "we've already taken enough time up with your stupid stalling!" Crud I thought he knows I was trying to stall. By the time we got there I felt like my legs where going to fall off. As I stopped to catch my breath, next to Nick, I looked up in horror at about twenty dead sheep laying on the ground with blood streaming down their red stained wool "wa..wha..what..what happened?" I stuttered. And that's when I saw a coyote in the corner of the dimly lit barn with wool and blood all around it's mouthChapter Three
Excuses, Excuses, Excuses
"ahhhhh" I screamed "What is that thing" I said even though this had happened once before when I was very little and knew exactly what is was "Coyote's" Nick replied in a stern voice "they got in just now" "they"I repeated " ya" Nick yelled " the are like eight of them" "eight?" I said "yes' he said "now listen this time so I don't have you coming back to me asking to repeat myself again" "okay i'm listening" I said annoyed "go get papa, he'll take care of it". Then I ran away, back to papa without saying a word.

The Big Shot (AHW)
"No!" I cried "don't do it, no, no, no I hate shots!" Even though the nurse at Target had not even put the needle filled with a small sampling of the influenza germ in my arm I still hated shots and I still did not want to get my flu shot even if it would protect me from getting the flu. My sister Lauren was just as scared as I was. I tried not to tense up but I couldn't help it, just the thought of a needle going into my arm was enough to make me freak out. "It's okay" my Mom chuckled "she's just wiping it down". I had stalled for one hour and my Mother was not taking my excuses anymore. I screamed as the needle went into my arm and the medicine entered my body. I opened my eyes and asked "is it over" "yes" the nurse answered. To tell you the truth it didn't hurt to much until a few minuets later. When everybody else got to pick something out because apparently I screamed to much but I think Lauren screamed even more than I did.
