Swimming

Yesterday I had my first real swim practice of the year. I know that I have been blogging and saying that I started swimming but that was a "Spring Tune-Up" This is the real thing. I have an awesome birthday for swimming! It is June 28th and the deadline is May 31st and whatever age you are on that day is what you are considered for the rest of the swim season. So when I am 11 I will be swimming as a 10 year old. Anyway, I am in the 9-10 group, we are the last out of all the age groups to practice. So yesterday my Coach Anne was explaining everything to the new kids and finally we got to go in the water. I ran to my lane and people were getting in. Just as I was about to get in the water the lifeguards blew the whistle and we all had to get out. I was so MAD!!

Spring Hill

Next weekend I am going to camp with my friends from my old school. I am so excited beacause I am the only one who has been to the camp were going to called spring hill. I am a little nervous though because ever since I left that school new people have moved in and all my friends changed and made new friends so now I feel really awkward around them. I'm still excited though because I think that I will get to know them even more it I go with them!!

Tornado

Today there was a tornado watch, I was not scared about it but my friend mahlah was! I had swimming during it. I did not even notice the rain. I think that they should not scare people but make them happy.... Sort of.....kind of. Not happy I guess but not that scared, because there is nothing wrong with being scared!💩💩😈😈😈

I was outside making a mothers day girt for my mom, with my friends. 'Beep!' 'Beep!' "Do you hear that?" Mahlah asked "I think someone is blowing their whistle at us" I replied. All the sudden kids started storming at us! A bunch of kids! A ton of kids!

Swimming

My swimming finally started! I am so happy to see all my friends but I still wish that I could stay in gymnastics. Today w the first day I swam. The other two days we just talked. I am happy to start swimming as long as I can do gymnastics again

Gymnastics Goes Bye-Bye

I really hate swimming because nobody there likes me and I don't get much out of it because it's a huge group. I love gymnastics and it is amazing! I don't know what gymnast on earth would ever want to quit! I really really really love gymnastics, I love my coach, I love my friends there, I love the sport! I can't even imagine my life without gymnastics! I cried for three hours because I did not want to quit! I begged and begged and BEGGED to not quit but my parents did not listen. I now hate swimming! I used to love it, before it made me quit gymnastics! My last day is tomorrow and I am scared i might cry there becaus eu do not want to leave! I can't imagine anyone's life without gymnastics. Oh and by the way Gabby Douglas is my all time hero, my inspiration, she is my bæ if anyone was wondering!

Science Olympiad Competition

On Saturday I had a Science Olympiad competition. I had two events, Crime Busters and Wildlife safari. I got 3rd in Crime Busters and 2nd in Wildlife Safari. Overall my team got 2nd and the other BCS team I got 3rd place. I don't know how I did so well in Wildlife safari because me and my partner guessed on everything! Today I had a gymnastics state meet and I will write about it tomorrow though.

Florida #3 AHW

Sorry I did not write the whole break! I was just so busy! I told you in my last post that I would try and find out why I could not sleep. I did not figure it out and I did not sleep on the way there. I slept on the way back though, from 2:00 until 9:00! I think it was because I stubbed my toe the night before and the top of my toe came of, it was bleeding and it hurt really bad. I did not sleep the whole night because it hurt so bad so I was super tired in the car. When you sleep it feels like to time has passed by! You feel like you blinked and then you open your eyes and two hours went by! Florida was so fun and I think you should try it!

Florida #2 AHW

Tomorrow I am going to Florida! I am so excited! I just really don't want to wake up at 2:45 to leave. Anyway I written about this before so I will copy and paste it in here.....

      A family tradition of ours is to go to Florida. My Dads family went when they were kids and the tradition has been passed down to us. We have been going to the same condo every year it is called the El Matador in Fort Walton Beach Florida. We go with our family along with family friends.

 The only bad thing about it is that since we've been going there for so long we know all the rules about it so whenever we do something bad there is no excuse when the parents ask you why you did it and what did you think we were doing, so I have unfortunately had a lot of punishments throughout the years I've been going there. 

There is an ice cream truck that goes around too. Last year we got the ice cream ladies phone number and called her when we wanted ice cream, and she came. The first time we called my friend Marina talked. We called in our other friends Maddie and Olivia’s condo so it would be quieter. As Marina was talking to the women on the phone Maddie and Olivia’s Dad came in and did not believe that we were actually talking to her until she came. You would not believe the look on his face when he saw her coming five minutes later.

There is a pool and a beach there too, they are also a lot of fun. We like jumping waves and going night swimming when no one is there.  The best part is that there we can go free and the parents stay at the beach while the kids run around wherever. The only rules are that we have to tell a parent where we are at all times and we have to have a parent at the beach or pool.  

 So I am so excited! I  will be in the car for a REALLY long time! 22 Hours! But my Mom picked up a ton of movies for us to watch and I will have my ipad to play games and I can write and draw but I will still be bored. I try to sleep every year! I never even have a blink of sleep. I don't know why though. Is it because it's too loud? Or am I uncomfortable? I DON'T KNOW!!! I am going to try (yet again) to figure it out. I am sooo happy! :)

Horrible Day

Yesterday was a horrible day! First I went to school and my friend was being mean to me. Then we got into a huge fight. Next when I got home my mom said I could not sleepover at my friend Graces house (This later changed) and while I was at her house I was fine except for one little thing I don't want to talk about. Yesterday was a "Terrible Horrible No-Good Very Bad Day"!

Ice Cream

I like ice cream, it's really good and sugary, I love it so much. I know that it is not good for you but it tastes so good! My favorite ice cream flavor is either blue moon or superman, my favorite ice cream place is Farmhouse. Their superman ice cream is very good!

The Rithmatist By: Brandon Sanderson Review

I thought that this was an amazing book and it made you suspenseful one minute and then relived the next, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes action, even though this book sounds, and is called fantasy it does not feel like it, it feels like you are inside the book and you are part of the action. It feels like the fake things are real. I loved this book so much because of that! I thought that the beginning needed more action but the rest was so good I could hardly put the book down.

Fletcher

My dog's name is Fletcher. No,I did not name him after that guy in the show ANT farm. That show was invented like three years after we got and named him so i'm positive we did not copy that name. If anything they copied Fletcher's (my dog)name. He just got a hair cut though so he is not as cute as he used to be.

Potatoes

I hate potatoes unless they are French fries or potato chips and sometimes mashed potatoes. I don't like potato soup. I don't like potato flavored stuff.I don't like it mostly because one time on Thanksgiving my mom was cutting up potatoes to make mashed potatoes and she had one of those slicers that you just slide the potato on it slices it off , and she sliced the top of her finger off and she had to go to the emergency room. She was there for like five hours in she had to meet us at home.

That is why I do not like potatoes.

Raisins

I love raisins. For science we have to do a bumper sticker encouraging people to stay healthy. My number sticker emphasizes the importance of exercising. It displays two Raisins! As you know I love raisins. Anyway one raisin is all strong and beefy and the other raisin is super wimpy and when he flexes (which he is) his arms droop. The strong one is lifting a 500 lbs weight and the wimpy raisin is lifting two 2 lbs weight while sweeting like crazy. The strong on is smiling and saying "I love to excercise." The wimpy one is saying "I don't" at the top in huge letters it says ' Excercise! It's important.

Gymnastics Meet

Sunday is my moms birthday! It is also my gymnastics meet. Me and my sister do gymnastics, it is one of the funnest sport I do.I just got new passes so I'm really scared by me because I haven't stuck my first pass on double mini ever I'm also worried about floor because I've only stuck my second pass a couple times. Wish me luck!:-)

Lent

Today is Ash Wednesday! In case you don't know Ash Wednesday is the start of a Christian holiday called lent. Lent is when you give something up in your life that is really important to you for 40 days. These 40 days represent the 40 days that Jesus survived in the desert without food or water.I am getting a pepper, I'm obsessed with it I did on just about anything. Pancakes, noodles, pizza, etc. Last year I gave up sweets this was really hard for me because we go to Florida during Lentand when you're on vacation you usually eat a lot of candy and desserts. My sister Hannah🏊 and my dad are doing it though. My younger sister is giving up noodles, there's also hard because her favorite food is noodles and sheets them whenever she can. I'm not sure what my Mom Is giving up.

Owwie

Today is the first day I got to go skiing! Saturday and Sunday were too cold so we could not go then. I had an awesome day of skiing today except for my last run. I went on a hill called Fun Land. It is technically meant for snowboarders, there are jumps and stuff like that for snowboarders to do. But I Schey, I zoom down the hill really fast and I really wanted to go on the jumps. I got as much data as I could to that I could make it up one, I might've gotten a little too much speed because I went straight up in the air. I started freaking out before he landed and that caused me to land flat-footed which hurt really bad. 

Now I am really nervous because it hurts really bad to run, and I have a gymnastics meet on Sunday and I am scared that I will fail because I can't run very well or fast.

The Sticky Situation

I zoomed down the hill racing after my dad. My skis felt like they were lifting off the ground. I felt bad for leaving him go by himself so I followed him down the hill. All the sudden he stopped and looked back at me. I raced up to him and realized that it was not my dad. It was a little girl a out five years old in a army green jacket just like my dads. Oh no I thought to myself, I am in the middle of a ski resort and I don't know where anyone I know is. I went to the chair lift not knowing what to do. "Um excuse me" I said to the man running the chair lift "could I borrow your phone please?" 

"For what?" He asked

"I need to call my dad" I replied

"Where is he?" 

"Well I don't know, I thought I was following him but now I can't find him."

"Do you know how to use iPhone?" He asked

"Yes," I said as he handed me his phone " thank you" I typed in my dads phone number and pressed call. 'Ring' 'ring' but it just went to voice mail. I started to get worried because I didn't know what to do. I typed in my moms phone number this time and clicked call. 'Ring' 'Ring' "hello?" I herd the familiar voice of my mom coming through the phone. 

" Mom?" I said excitedly " it's Ellie." 

" who's phone are you calling me from?" She asked

"The guy who runs the chair lift." I answered

"what do you need?" She asked

"Well," I said "I can't find dad"

"Where are you" she asked

"At the Mac gully chair lift" I replied, then all the sudden I saw something bright orange. Coming down the hill. HANNAH! I found my sister and her friend and her friends dad! I was overjoyed that I did not have to wait there for someone to pick me up! "Mom!" I said "never mind I see Hannah!"

"Are you sure you don't want me and Lauren to pick you up?"

"Yes I'm sure!"

"okay bye!"

"Bye mom!" I gave the phone back to the chair lift guy and thanked him for letting me use his phone. Then I raced over to Hannah " HANNAH!" "Hannah!" I yelled. She did not answer, but I knew it was her. The funny thing was only my mom knew about my situation. Not even my dad until he got back to the lodge and my mom told him. I was mad at him by but I got over it.

NEW PASSES!

Today I had gymnastics, it was he first time I had gone in a week because it was cancelled on Monday and I was on vacation on Saturday. Anyway when I got there I saw my friend Elena sitting there waiting for our coach, Jason. We waited there for a few minuets but still saw no sign of him. We went into the locker room and our other friend Graces' stuff was in her cubby so we went around looking for her. By the time we were done it was like 5:55 and practice started at 5:45 than Elena realized that everyone else was out there already warming up. Luckily we were not the only ones because Kate was also looking for them and could not find them. Later I went to double mini. (it's like a mini trampoline that you dismount off of. I started to warm up my passes and than right after I had finished doing my front tucks Jason told me I had NEW PASSES! I was so excited because my passes were a little too easy for me and my coach on Saturday, Ellen, had me working on the higher level passes. Now my new passes are.....  Mounter tuck, front pike, and....... Straight, pike, pike barani (it's a front tuck while twisting) After double mini I went to floor. And guess what? I had new passes on there too! They used to be, Round off two backhand springs and  Round off three backhand springs but now it is.....Round off four backhand springs and  Round off SEVEN backhand springs! I am so happy. My trampoline routine is still the same though which I am happy about because i'm not very good at it.

The Lost One Part 1

When I'm lost, I can hardly ever be found. I can dream and imagine things no one can ever dream of. I can do things no one can ever see. I can fly in my dreams. I can turn invisible. I can do anything I want to do. At least I would if I didn't always get disturbed. My family interrupts me. My teachers are distracting to me and my mind. You would think my friends would too, I guess they would if I ever had one. I have one friend. My Shadow. It doesn't interrupt me. It never distracts me. It barely disturbs me. People do. I HATE it when people interrupt me. My mind does too. I dream everyday. At my desk. While I'm eating. During breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. I dream all day every day. Everyone hates me for it. I dream. I think. My shadow is just like me. That's why I like it.

Wonder Draft 5

Most people would think that fitting in is easy, and that people with disabilities or have anything that might make the person need extra help is lucky. After reading the book Wonder by R.J Palacio it made me feal bad for those kids because even though they might need some extra help doesn't mean that they are not fun or enjoyable, they are just ordinary kids with probably similar hobbies than you. I think the author wrote this book so that we would know "Don't judge a boy by his face" This book is about a boy who has trouble fitting in everywhere because of the look of his face.

Throughout the story Auggie goes to school. It's not as easy as it seems. August Pullman was born with a cranial facial difference. This has kept him away from having any friends and going to school. On a car ride home while Via (his sister) is sleeping, Auggie wakes up he overhears his parents talking. " ' We can't keep protecting him' mom whispered to dad who was driving 'We can't just pretend that he's going to wake up tomorrow and this won't be his reality, because it is, Nate, and we have to help him learn to deal with it. we can't just keep avoiding situations that...' ' So sending him to middle school like a lamb to the slaughter...,' Dad answered angrily , but he didn't even finish his sentence because he saw me in the mirror" . A few weeks before school starts he goes to take a tour of his new school. Most of the kids are nice, but one boy, Julian, is mean to him, but luckily the other two kids, Jack and Charlotte stand up for him and say "'you're so rude Julian'" and "'Stop it Julian'" This shows that we should stand up for those who are having trouble dealing with bullies especially people with special needs because if no one was there to help the bulling would have gotten worse and Auggie would have never found the courage in him to go to school.

    Julian unfortunately ends up in the same class as Auggie. This causes serious issues and mishap throughout the school. Auggie starts to lose hope and feels alone even when people try to help. He knows when people say means stuff to him. He knows On the other hand, Auggie meets two friends, Summer and Jack. His new friends stand up for him when he is being made fun of. “I keep sitting with him because he’s fun” This shows that you should be nice to people who might not be as popular as you or might not look like most people would. You should like people for how they act and if their nice or not. Not how they look. Summer and Jack were being kind while Julian was being mean and later has no friends.

By the end of the story everyone was fine with Auggie and realized what a great kid he was. This shows that it’s fine to touch kids with disabilities, they’re not contagious or anything they are just different than everyone else. In the story the author writes,” I eat ice cream. I ride my bike. I play ball. I have an Xbox. Stuff like that makes me ordinary. I guess.  I feel ordinary. Inside.” This show’s that even when someone looks different than you, they are ordinary. They are kids. They have hobbies, they like what a ordinary kid their age would like. Just because they don’t look the same doesn't mean that they are any different in the inside. Just like the saying “It’s the inside that counts.”

"Don't judge a boy by his face" or " don't judge a book by its cover" There is no difference between a kid with disabilities than a kid without except they might need a little extra help or look a little different. Most kids like that may act a little different too but that is not there fault, it's just the way they were born! Just like people can't help what color there eyes or hair is, it's just the way they are. You shouldn't be jealous or envious of those kids. You should except and love the way they are. I know several kids with disabilities and they are actually pretty nice kids, they are cute, fun and lovable. I think that's what I think the book Wonder is about

Seussical Play

Today I went and saw the school play called Seussical. I knew many people in the play including, Mahlah, Kevyn, Vivian, Elise and many more! It was a very good play. It was basically Horton hears a who with a twist to it. I think that most everyone was a good singer and actor or actress. I think that you should see this play! I also saw Mr. Joe and Mrs. Roberts. I sat with my friends, Grace and Julia. We had a lot of fun together!

"Snow day, snow day, snow day, snow day!" Me and my little sister Lauren chanted. "Snow day, snow day," I pushed on the trophy tight as I held it in between my shoulder and my sisters. "Snow day, snow day" we chanted some more while hoping that this would work. "Snow day, snow day." It felt like we had been chanting for hours now so I felt that it was time to stop. 'Crack'

 "Ellie?" Hannah said in the tone that mom mom uses when i'm in trouble. "Yes" I said as I took more and more pancakes. "Stop," she sounded annoyed. I had taken half the plate of pancakes and was now putting them back in the bowl. "Ellie, no."she whined "you touch them you take them." she said. Hannah started to get violent and then  started to yell for my Mom. That was when the trouble started. My mom came storming in and sent all of us in to our rooms. Even Lauren who was not included in this fight. That made her mad. When she gets mad, she gets mad! First she started off with some rude comments, and when I ignored her she got worse. I started to laugh while she kicked me because it usually makes her stop, but not this time. She was determined to kick and hit me until I went and got my mom or cried.  Now her kicking got harder and harder. It was actually starting to hurt so I got up from the ground and ran to my bed. She saw me and tore off my covers and wrestled me back onto the floor. I put my hand up to punch her but I only made the issue worse. She kick the bottom of my pinkie finger. I started to cry. I ran to my bed and put the sheets over my head. "Ellie," my mom called "Lauren, Hannah. Come here please"

I found out I broke my pinkie. It hurts really bad and I can not even bend it. (Lauren has a strong kick apparently)

Sugar Literary Essay

A lot of people have big dreams, most people would think that doing chores is bad. Once you read the book Sugar by Jewell Parker Rhodes, you will think differently, the author wrote this book so that people could learn about freedom, and how it would feel to be enslaved and have no one to talk to or play with. People around the world get mad when they don't have a playmate at recess, to the girl Sugar your considered lucky.

Gymnastics Meet (Part 4) After the Meet

'Err' the car slipped and slid as we pulled into the parking lot of the Mexican restaurant called Mojave in Clawson MI. "Hey" My sister Lauren said "We parked right next to dad!"
 "Oh ya" my mom said. We walked in the the restaurant and opened the heavy and very snowy doors. "How many?" a nice looking lady said to us as we warmed up. "Um, we are looking for a bigger party," my Mom said. "oh," the woman said "follow me" we followed her into the way back of the restaurant and there I saw my dad and other sister, and our family friends, Amelia, Magnolia and their mom. "Ellie, Lauren!" Amelia said as we walked in to the bright room. "How did you do?" Magnolia said. After that we had a lot of drawing competitions. For dinner I had a cheese quesadilla, fries and some sprite. When we got home I took out my bun and my hair went poof! It was so big!

Gymnastics Meet Part Three (Trampoline)

"Ellie" The judge said. I saluted and started to walk onto the trampoline when the judge said "Ellie?"
"yes?" I replied
"sorry, but don't start yet, we are not ready yet"
"okay" I said as polite as I could
"Sorry, judges are slow"
"Its fine," I said as I stepped back onto the side.
"okay" he said "Ellie"
Again I saluted and stepped onto the trampoline. I started to jump. Higher, higher, higher I got. Until I was finally high enough. Bach tuck, tuck jump....... I continued on with my routine and tried my best to do it the best I could. Rebound..... Stick???? I thought to myself. I stuck it! I stuck it!

Later on I went to get my awards. I went up to ask what event they were doing next and as they answered I caught a glance of the sheet that contaminated all of our scores and positions, I looked at it and then sat right back down, for I already knew that I was going to get 2nd. I was right, I was second and Lindsay L was 1st! I was so happy!

Gymnastics Meet Part 2 (Double Mini)

My heart raced as the judge again called my name. "Ellie" he said as he smiled. I saluted as usual and started to run. I did a huge hurdle and hopped onto the double mini (for those of you who don't know what it is I will put a picture and video below to show you) Straddle (middle splits in the air) Pike (both legs in front and touching your toes) I dismounted and... I stuck it! That was not much of a surprise because it was my easiest pass. I saluted to the judges and walked off the mat and back in line to do my next passes. I waited for everyone else to go until it was my turn again. I went through the same process, hear my name, salute, run and hurdle. Straight Jump (normal) Tuck Jump (tuck your knees into your stomach) Front tuck. I stuck it but hobbled just a bit. I saluted and walked off the mat. I waited in line yet again and again went through the same process, hear my name, salute, run and hurdle. This was my hardest pass, Straight jump, Pike jump, front pike. I took one big step but I still kicked out. Later on I went to get my awards. (I don't remember the other peoples places) But I got third! I was kind of disappointed because my friend Lindsey W beat me but I was still proud of myself and what I did.

Gymnastics Meet

My heart pounded in my chest and my hands nervously shook as my name was called. "Ellie" the judge said. I slowly lifted my hands up, and saluted. (In gymnastics a salute is when you lift up both your hands and smile) I started to run. Hurdled. I put my hands on the ground and felt the familiar feel of the rod floor on my hands. Round-off, backhand spring, backhand sprang. I did a huge rebound. Please stick, please stick I thought to myself. I stuck it! I was relieved! Later on I went up to awards. I was just in time. "We are now announcing Girls Novice Floor for 10 year old's" the announcer said into the microphone. "In 6th place is Sophie!" she walked up to the front received her medal and walked to where she was supposed to go. It went on like this for a while until... "In second place is Lindsay L" she walked up to the podium and stepped up. " And in 1st place, from Troy Gymnastics is... Ellie!" I ran up to the woman and let her give me my medal. I hopped up onto the podium and she said "Athletes salute" we all saluted, I could tell this was going to be an awesome meet, even though we had only done one event.

5/6 Dance

I have not written all weekend because I wanted to write tomorrow about my gymnastics meet, that will be taking place then. Anyway I don't think that I will be able to do that because I will be there all day but I will be able to write about it on Monday, and I will be able to post some videos of me doing it. So today I am going to write about the 5/6 dance that was on Friday.  So I went to the dance with my friends and we had an awesome time. The DJs were good and the made it fun by letting us play games and running around. Overall I had a awesome time and I went back to my friend Ali's house and left at like 10:00 PM. I have a feeling that this is one of the best weekends I've had!:-)

Sentence Slashing

Frying his body all day/ Jacob Johnson/ got a horrible sunburn by afternoon/because the cheep suntan lotion from his brother/became a thin liquid/ and dripped in the sand.


All kinds of vegetables/ from celery to fresh tomatoes/ were dancing playing/ in the salad bowl/and the salad dressing/that had been as quiet/ and unnoticed/ as the bowl itself/ suddenly giggled with glee.

Blue Lake AHW

On Monday my orchestra teacher Miss Gillespie announced that there was going to be an audition for an overnight camp called Blue Lake.The audition would give you a scholarship to the camp, so you wouldn't have to pay as much. I am playing a piece called French folk song.I am very excited to audition so that I can see how much my music would be worth, ( if I sold it( though I am not going to)) today during my choice hour I was practicing. Miss Gillespie came over to help me just like she did to everyone else who was auditioning. I am so excited to see how other people think about my music!:-)

Iodine spill

Today for choice hour I had Science Olympiad, we have not gotten our second event yet, but my first one it Crime Busters. Crime Busters is where you have to identify different substances. Today we started to get our boxes ready, I am team one. Team two did not have a box. They got a completely new box with completely new stuff! Ours on the other hand was filled with dried iodine. It was so gross so well all the other people were practicing we had to clean out the nastiest substance of all time! They t was mixed with mold! And the sugar in our box had hardened. Although it was quite nasty it was still a thrilling "adventure"!

Wonder Literary Essay

Most people would think that fitting in is easy, (three popular girls) and that people with disabilities (child with disabilities) or have anything that might make the person need extra help (person in a wheel chair) is lucky (four leaf clover). After reading the book Wonder (Wonder cover) by R.J Palacio (RJ Palacio)it made me feel bad for those kids (kids)because even though they might need some extra help (child who needs extra help)doesn't mean that they are not fun or enjoyable (kids having fun), they are just ordinary kids (ordinary kids)with probably similar hobbies than you (kids having fun). I think the author (RJ Palacio)wrote this book(person writing) so that we would know "Don't judge a boy by his face" (back cover of Wonder)This book is about a boy (a boy)who has trouble fitting in (bullies)everywhere because of the look of his face.(ugly boy)

    Throughout the story Auggie goes to school.(BCS) It's not as easy as it seems ( popular kids). August Pullman was born with a cranial facial difference (ugly boy). This has kept him away from having any friends (friends) and going to school (BCS). On a car ride home (red Sudan) while Via (Via) (his sister) is sleeping, (child sleeping) and Auggie wakes up (alerted guy) he overhears his parents talking (parents talking). " ' We can't keep protecting him' (Over protective parents) mom whispered to dad (secret)who was driving (steering wheel)'We can't just pretend that he's going to wake up tomorrow (sleeping kid) and this won't be his reality (reality TV), because it is, Nate, (Nate)and we have to help him learn (Teacher)to deal with it. We can't just keep avoiding situations (situations) that...' ' So sending him to middle school (BCS) like a lamb (sheep) to the slaughter...,' Dad answered angrily,(angry emoji) but he didn't even finish his sentence because he saw me in the mirror (mirror)”. A few weeks (calendar) before school starts (summer) he goes to take a tour (open house sign) of his new school (BCS). Most of the kids are nice (nice kid), but one boy, Julian, (Julian) is mean (devil emoji) to him, but luckily (gold)the other two kids (two kids) , Jack and Charlotte stand up for him (bullies) and say "'you're so rude Julian'(guy wolfing down food) and "'Stop it Julian' (STOP sign)" This shows that we should stand up (Bullies) for those who are having trouble dealing with bullies (bullies) because if no one was there to help (helping) the bulling (bully)would have gotten worse and Auggie would have never found the courage(magnifying glass)in him to go to school.

    Julian unfortunately ends up in the same class (classroom) Auggie. Which causes serious issues (issue)and mishap throughout the school. On the other hand, Auggie (room number) meets two friends, Summer (palm tree)and Jack. This shows that you should be nice to people (nice) who might not be as popular (popular girl) as you or might not look like most people would (normal guy) . You should like people (kissy lips) for how they act and if their nice (helping person) or not (evil person). Not how they look (Myself). Summer and Jack were being kind (helping people) while Julian was being mean (devil emoji) and later has no friends (lonely person) 

By the end of the story everyone was fine with Auggie (kids having fun) and realized what a great kid he was (A+). This shows that it’s fine to touch kids (touching) with disabilities, they’re not contagious (sick person) or anything they are just different (diverse) than everyone else.

"Don't judge a boy by his face" (back of book) There is no difference between a kid with disabilities (child who needs help) than a kid without (popular girls) except they might need a little extra help(woman in a wheel chair). You shouldn't be jealous or envious of those kids (angry emoji). I know several kids with disabilities (person having fun) and they are actually pretty nice kids, they are cute (cute baby cat), fun (cute cat) and lovable (heart). I think that's why the author wrote (person writing) the book Wonder(Wonder Cover).

New Kitchen?

My parents have been wanting to redo our kitchen for almost a year now. Now it's finally being done! The good thing is we will have a "new" kitchen. But unfortunately there are some down sides to it. First, it smells, BAD! I mean really bad. And whenever I go inside my house it smells so bad and I feel like I am going to die! It is so bad. But I am excited to see how it turns out!😊

Break is Over! :) :( AHW

I have mixed emotions about break being over, I am happy to see my friends and learn and stuff but I want to stay home. I'm not sure how everyone will wake up since they will be used to sleeping in every day. Even though I want to stay home I am excited to see my friends again!

Sequel! AHW

A few days ago I got a message back from my absolute favorite author, Chris Grabenstein! I was so happy! It turns out there is going to be a sequel to Escape From Mr. Lemoncellos Library coming out in 2016! I am so excited!
